I just found out losing in a Kitchen poker game to beginners worse....

FUNNY STORY


Last night I attended with my friends a little " for fun" kitchen poker game everyone bought just 10$ in chips to play...

I go in there with my doyle'sroom hat on and they know I play along with a few other people that play...we are playing holdem with a few raw beginners....to my left is one of them,

To make a long story short she had never played before. The flop gives me a set of 3's and she bets like this " Is this red chip 1$? I said yes she bets it I call...the turn is a 6 I have now boated 3's full of 6's .....She then takes 3 of her red chips and throws them in....I could tell she hit a set of 6's SO I say "Well Sweetie" ( being the seasoned Poker player I am) ill put you all in....


She says, What is ALL IN:monsters- ...I explained, "See all your chips in front of you?" you need to put them in to stay in the hand to see the river..she thinks and thinks and does....we turn our cards over she has trip 6's I have my boat... im smiling and saying its OK dear sorry and all just then the river comes

the river a FRIGGIN 6:grandmais :breakit: ..she turns to her BF and says did I do good honey???

it was only $9.00 but my god it felt worse then losing $9,000 so much for knowing poker:drink: :drink: RAW friggin luck

I was there. She was acting like she had never played before. When i saw her toss her chips in i knew she was full of it. It was some good acting.

I feel your pain. I have a reverse story to tell ya. Last night at dinner with some friends a hold em game broke out. $10 buy in so I figure wtf.....it's cards. Long story short I beat the 6 handed table in just under an hour. I had crazy luck flopping or drawing trips 4 times then a a flush on the last hand with my A/7 all in against an A/10. They all got pissed at me but it's one thing to get good cards............it's another to know how to bet em.
Luck has a lot to do with it short term.
